Japanese Government fund for Anime Overseas

A fund to develop the expansion of Japanese animation and movies around the world is in the process of being created by the Japanese Government.
The fund will look to expand on license acquisitions from domestic production companies and creators and invest in overseas production companies.
The fund Is part of a larger strategy that is focused on promoting Japan’s brand worldwide, the government hopes to mirror the likes of America by increasing its generation of overseas revenue which currently stands at just 1.9%.
