Keanu Reeves in Cowboy Bebop

After recently becoming an alien in The Day the Earth Stood Still, Keanu Reeves signed on for another sci-fi remake: this time, he will become a space-traveling bounty hunter in the live-action adaptation of the Japanese anime series
Cowboy Bebop.
The original animated series, which first hit screens in Japan in 1998, revolves around a group of bounty hunters who travel on their spaceship, the Bebop, in 2071. It eventually became a hit across the world; in the United States, it captured a fan base after being aired on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming block. Reeves will take on one of the hunters, former syndicate member Spike Spiegel.
Sunrise Inc., the producer of the animated series, will work closely with 20th Century Fox for the English version; the show’s producers and writers have taken major roles in the production crew.
