Dragonball Evolution Sequel script written

04/04/2009

DragonBall Evolution Justin Chatwin, who plays Goku in the recent live action adaption of the Dragonball anime, Dragonball Evolution, has told MTV news that “They’ve written a second one and it’s pretty far out there”. The first film focuses on Goku’s search for the seven Dragonball’s with Buffy’s James Marsters playing the evil Lord Piccolo, but it’s fair to say the film only touches on the depth and story arcs in the Dragonball franchise. Chatwin has told MTV News that he hasn’t actually read the script but has been told a lot about it and is very keen to return for a sequel, similarly Marsters, a hard core fan, is keen to see the film turn into a long running series.

However with the film only just released, the verdict still out and although its first weekend of release in many Asian countries saw Dragonball Evolution hit the topspot it hasn’t scored highly amongst a number of fans. James Wong the Director hasn’t confirmed or denied the existing of the script and is keen to sit and wait to see how the film does at the box office. Dragonball Evolution will hit the screens next weekend, the 8th of April in the UK and the 10th of April in the US.
